Fear & Greed at a chilling 17, yet stocks are partying like it’s 1999 with a hefty upswing. VIX quietly murmurs unease.
(1) The S&P climbed an impressive 2.51%, marking its third consecutive day of gains, clearly feeling invincible despite everything. The NASDAQ wasn’t to be left out, jumping up 2.8%, and the Dow rounded out the euphoria with a 2.85% boost. Even the Russell 2000 saw fit to join in on the fun, rising by nearly 3%. It’s a bull market celebration — or perhaps just everyone bidding farewell before reality checks back in. (2) Meanwhile, our old friend the VIX sits at a rather concerned 21, indicating that somewhere out there, nerves are fraying despite today’s greenscape. Fear & Greed remains stubbornly in Extreme Fear territory at 17, suggesting a profound disconnect between sentiment indicators and actual market behavior. If everyone’s this terrified while stocks soar, someone’s got some explaining to do — or maybe they’ve forgotten to update their spreadsheets post-vacation season. (3) Bitcoin dipped a minor -0.6%, and Ethereum followed suit with -1.2%. Cryptos didn’t get the memo about today’s exuberance in equities — perhaps they were busy recalibrating their own reality-check algorithms or mulling over what $71K BTC means for any future Lambo dreams. And as we close another puzzling day on Wall Street: Cramer said ‘BUY’. Larry suggests watching closely who heard that advice.

💩 Loser of the Daily
PLTR managed to drop by an eye-watering -6.2%. For Palantir Technologies, known for its big data and analytics magic show, one would think they’d have foreseen this slip-up coming. Perhaps they misread their own data projections? Another possibility: they focused too much on crafting mystique instead of real results. Next time someone tells you big data is infallible, remember PLTR’s Houdini act today.

The Oracle Speaks
"VIX sitting comfortably at 21 hints that not all is as it seems beneath this green veneer; something lurks under these optimistic numbers. Watch for potential pullbacks if fear takes hold again — but hey, I've been surprised before! Could be nothing more than another volatile week ahead."
