S&P up 1.2%, but Fear & Greed screams at a lowly 21 — it’s like the market and investors are in different movies.

(1) Today, the S&P climbed another 1.2% to hit 7126.06, its third consecutive rise, as if gravity is merely an option now. NASDAQ gained 1.52%, Dow Jones pushed up by a strong 1.79%, and Russell 2000 decided to lead the pack with a hefty gain of 2.11%. Meanwhile, the VIX dips to 17.48, suggesting that someone forgot to invite anxiety to today’s party — despite Fear & Greed languishing at Extreme Fear levels (21). (2) Here’s where it gets entertaining: Market indices are all smiles, yet Fear & Greed whispers terror into every trader’s ear. The VIX suggests mild unease at best, but when was the last time we trusted a crowd that fears its own shadow? The real story might be that smart money is quietly recalibrating strategies while retail hopes for endless bullish weekends. Maybe they all know something we don’t—or maybe they’re just wishing on stars and new moons for guidance.(3) In crypto land, BTC leaps by 3.1% landing at $77,460 and ETH follows suit with a gain of 3.4%. At least crypto’s having its day in the sun while equities pretend everything’s fine over here too—it’s almost like they read from different scripts today. What this signals is either renewed faith or blind optimism; hard to tell without divine intervention or better risk models. Prediction? Darkness falls—buy the dip on days like these.
